| Carry out sustainable planning and development for the mines and energy sectors in Colombia , for formulating state policies and decision-making for the benefit of the whole country, by performing information processing and analysis. |
The UPME in 2010, shall be a technically specialized entity for planning, reference and consultation, recognized that both locally and abroad by its excellence and impartiality which guides, in the benefit decision-making of Colombian society, for fomenting sustainable development of the mines and energy sectors. |
